Joe here -- After a five hour flight to London, a 12 hour layover, and then a 12 hour flight to Johannesburg, South Africa.....we're almost there! On our flight from London to J-Berg, Trina and I sat next to an American college student who was part of a short term missions trip herself. She was part of a group of about 20 people from Louisiana, and they were on their way to Malawi.

Trina picking up luggage after FINALLY landing in Johannesburg .

Hands up and looking forward to a LONG nap at the hotel. Go Red Sox!

What hotel is complete without a scale replica of Michelangelo's David?

Hooray!! You are almost there! What an adventure. You are looking pretty darn cute for being on an airplane for DAYS! Get some rest, eat some food, poop, and put up your feet! Kisses wrapped with tight hugs! Cheers to the McGarrys from Melissa and Andrea. Keep posting your updates!
Um, why is the pregnant lady dealing with the luggage while the big strong husband is goofing around with his camera???????? And don't give us that "you try telling Trina she can't get the luggage" garbage! Seriously, glad your almost there, we're praying for you!----Audrey, Brenda and Ed (Sox up 4-0 Top 8 over Helpless Houston)
Well, for what it's worth. Trina was making me carry *everything* and take the pictures too. She also made me walk five paces behind and two to the left (something about my "proper place" in the world).
These meager moments were the few I had before she yelled at me for being weak and made me carry her and the luggage to teach me a lesson.
She was right to do so.
Thanks, friends!
We made it to Ndola (finally!). Next thing on the list to do is eat dinner ~ hooray!~ and then take Melissa and Andrea's advice for things to do after that. Thanks for your prayers and for updates on our Boyz!
